Amaou is one variety of strawberry representing Japan. With its name taking the first letters of the words red, round, big and delicious in Japanese, the Amaou strawberry is named after those qualities and produced to honor its name by becoming the King among the sweetest strawberries in the world. The combination of the Kurume No. 53 and 92-46 kind result in a harmonious sweetness and sourness that gives the strawberry a really deep flavor. Its hard exterior is compensated by its looks and texture, making an overall juicy strawberry.
